Just download and install Qt SDK, download the project from the repository, build and run. AB was made to be a new alternative to known gimp plugin called Insane Bump or commercial tool: Crazy Bump.ĪwesomeBump is totaly written in Qt thus you don’t need to install any aditionall libraries.

Since the image processing is done in 99% on GPU the program runs very fast and all the parameters can be changed in real time.

Additional features like material textures or grunge maps are available. Shin chan theme mp3 downloadīut for that money you might aswell consider grabbing a license.AwesomeBump is a free and open source program written using Qt library designed to generate normal, height, specular or ambient occlusion, metallic, roughness textures from a single image. Share Report Save level 1 6 years ago What does this do that xnormal wont do 0 Share Report Save level 1 6 years ago Get a Mac and download crazybump beta and use it for free. Insane bump could use more development but itll only get better. In general, though, the way to get the best quality for tilable normal maps is to make a sculpted geometry version of the texture over a plane, then bake out the normals (I usually use ZBrush or ZBrushXNormal for this type of thing, though you can get good results with 3D CoatXNormal or BlenderXNormal as well.) 1 Share Report Save level 1 6 years ago The Mac version is still in public Beta I think - beg, borrow or steal a Mac.:-) 1 Share Report Save level 1 6 years ago You know whats great about Insane Bump too is that it works on Linux.Ĭrazybump doesnt have any sort of linux version which is a bummer and Im not booting into windows just to make a map. Same goes for Substance Designer (which goes on sale on Steam sometimes.) Knald is really good, but its the same price for personal use as Crazybump. Ndo works very well, but you have to put in the time to learn it. Share Report Save level 1 6 years ago The lazy way is to use Insane Bump: or the hard way, which gives you more control (full disclosure this is a link to a tutorial I made): 1 Share Report Save level 1 6 years ago Mindtex is pretty cheap. Share Report Save level 1 6 years ago Knald is amazing Sadly, maps it burns in trial are watermarked, though if you know what youre doing its not that big a deal. Also there is InsaneBump for GIMP but havent used it.
